Actor Headshot Pricing – Simple, Honest, and Flexible
Looking for actor headshots without hidden fees or confusing packages? You’re in the right place.
My actor headshot sessions are completely free. You only pay for the final retouched images you choose to keep—each retouched photo is just £35.
There’s no session fee, no pressure to commit to a package, and no minimum or maximum order. You’re in full control.
I believe in keeping things flexible, without having rigid packages. Over the years, I’ve found actors often change their minds after seeing their contact sheet – and that’s totally okay. This pay-per-edit approach has proven to be the most popular and stress-free way for my clients to get the headshots they truly love.
Your headshot is your first impression – it’s often the deciding factor before a casting director even clicks your name. Whether you’re updating your Spotlight profile, submitting for a specific role, or booking your very first session, your headshot needs to stand out instantly, even as a small thumbnail.
My sessions are designed to capture your personality, range, and versatility – with images that feel authentic and connect with casting professionals at a glance.
What to Expect at Your Headshot Session
Based in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire, my studio offers a relaxed, welcoming environment. We’ll start with a quick chat about your outfit choices and the types of characters or moods you want to capture. I’ll also walk you through how I shoot, what you can expect during the session, and offer a few simple posing tips – nothing too technical, and definitely no pressure. It’s all part of the fun.
Music is key to helping you relax, so you’re in charge of the playlist. Whatever keeps you comfortable – whether it’s chilled-out acoustic or full-on Beyoncé – it’s your call. No judgment.
Throughout the shoot, I’ll guide you through small adjustments and refine angles and expressions as we go. This helps us evolve the style naturally, giving you a broader range of looks and more variety in your final gallery.
Disclaimer: I can’t promise you won’t be subjected to some truly awful jokes along the way.
Choosing Your Final Headshots
Once the session’s wrapped and you (hopefully!) leave feeling great, I’ll carefully curate the strongest images – those that meet industry standards and truly reflect your range. These will be sent to you as a PDF contact sheet for easy review.
I always encourage you to share this selection with people you trust – your agent, drama tutor, or anyone who knows your casting type well – to help you make confident, informed choices.
As an actor myself, I know how important it is to get it right. There’s no rush—take the time you need. Once you’ve made your final selections, I’ll aim to deliver your professionally retouched images within 72 hours.
Keep it natural and minimal – casting directors want to see you, not a glam version that doesn’t match how you’ll walk into an audition. Too much makeup can be distracting or misleading in a thumbnail image.
That said, if bold makeup is part of your everyday look and authentic to your casting type, feel free to incorporate it. The goal is honesty and consistency between your headshot and your real-life presence.
If your piercings can be removed, it’s best to take them out before your session. However, if we’re aiming for character-specific looks where piercings add something unique, we can absolutely work them into certain shots.
Stick to plain, neutral tones – think black, grey, white, navy, earthy tones, or subtle purples. Avoid loud patterns, logos, or slogans, as they can distract from your face.
Above all, wear clothing that feels comfortable and true to you. If you’re targeting specific character types, bring outfits that reflect that range.
Hairbrush or comb
Hair ties and clips
Glasses (if you wear them)
Matte setting powder or blotting paper to reduce shine.

A private changing area is available for outfit changes, makeup, or using the toilet. There are also multiple mirrors throughout the studio for last-minute touch-ups or quick hair adjustments.

I understand how important it is to book your headshot session at a time that fits around your life—whether that’s work, childcare, or travel commitments. While I offer a simple timeslot system, flexibility is always part of the plan.
9:00 AM | 12:00 PM | 3:00 PM | 6:00 PM
These slots are loosely designed to offer structure without being restrictive. I allow buffer time between sessions, so if you’re running slightly early or late, there’s space to accommodate that without overlap or stress.
If none of the above times work for you, just reach out and I’ll do my best to find an alternative that suits your schedule.
An online booking system is on the way, offering easy scheduling and multiple payment options.
For now, please just email me with your preferred date, time, and any specific requirements, and I’ll get you booked in personally.
